Race Site

Newmarket Riverwalk Commons

The National AccessAbility Week Kick-off will be held at Newmarket Riverwalk Commons, located at 200 Doug Duncan Drive in downtown Newmarket. The race venue provides a fun, family-friendly atmosphere, while also delivering a flat, fast and scenic run course through Fairy Lake Park and the Tom Taylor Trail system.

The race features a measured 10k Run, 5k Run and 5k Walk. All run and walk events will start at the Newmarket Riverwalk Commons and head south across Water St. and onto the Tom Taylor Trail. The Tom Taylor Trail is a flat, mostly paved, multi-use path system that is fully wheelchair accessible. All events will finish where they started, at the Newmarket Riverwalk Commons.

IMPORTANT: The path system WILL REMAIN OPEN to the public. Signage will be placed along the course alerting the public that there is a race in progress. Participants must obey course marshal instructions and remain aware of their surroundings at all times. Runners and walkers must stay to the right side of the path unless passing slower participants.

Both the 10k Run and 5k Run will be chip timed. The 5k Walk  will not be timed.
